Fat Transfer
Fat is one of the most well-tolerated fillers available to plastic surgeons. It is natural appearing, lasts longer than any other filler, and is your own fat.
Fat transfer is a technique where fat is harvested from an area of the body, washed and purified, then carefully injected with a specially designed needle, into areas of the face, buttocks,hands and breasts to increase the volume of the area. The procedure may need to be repeated several times to achieve the desired result. Fat transfer to the face can be performed in our center with conscious sedation and takes a couple of hours. It is also performed in conjunction with other facial rejuvenation procedures such as a lower facelift or eyelid surgery.
Swelling is the most common post operative side effect. Swelling usually resolves in 2-3 weeks, however, it is possible to resume daily activities after just a couple of days.
