DR. ABDOLLAH MALEK: Studies have shown that the breast is the second area of concern for most ladies. Their first area of concern in general numbers are the weight. The second area of concern is breast. The majority of the ladies are concerned about their breast being too small or too large or being saggy or undesirable shape.

Specifically on breast reduction, we can make the volume of the breast smaller and the shape of the breast better. And this has two purposes being achieved at the same time. By reducing the volume of the breast, we many times make the shoulders and neck more comfortable. In breast reduction, techniques have developed from a typical inverted T incision which goes around the areola and then underneath the breast into a smaller incision which is called the Lollipop Technique, where at times even periareolar incisions which are very attractive and very acceptable. And the breast can be reduced and the volume can be reshaped in such that the breast looks smaller but actually they look a lot more attractive.
